Mm. Work has settled into a routine, and while I suppose it might not be the most interesting of events, it is somewhat pleasant not to have to be bothered by... surprises that might otherwise have cropped up.

Cases of mycosis on New Mundus remain non-threatening and bear little to no resemblance to the still-spreading infection on the mainland.

At any rate, the island has enough places to look around to keep me from getting too bored. As yet I have not fully explored the island. I am sure that I will have to do so, eventually.

Well, today was certainly most interesting. Yuuhi-san, if you are reading this, my thanks for spending the afternoon with me. I do appreciate it. If there should be anything else I can do, please, don't hesitate to ask.

My work at the hospital seems to be coming along well. Everything is progressing according to the expectations, and with luck there should not be too many complications in the event of an outside factor entering the situation, as does seem to be the possibility. Recently, there have been several observed cases of external mycosis, but nothing of any serious note, and all were curable with the peasantly avaliable topical treatments.

The whether has been pleasant enough, the past few days, although it is getting colder. I am curious as to how this will affect the spread of the infection, if it does at all.

Well, New Mundus certainly is interesting. I'm quite impressed by the facilities that the hospital has- it's certainly well equipped enough to deal with most of the potential problems that might crop up here, and the staff all appear to be very capable at their jobs. I'm also glad that Sakura-chan was there to show me around.

The government built flats that I'm staying in right now are a far cry from the housing on the mainland, but I suppose I can't complain. They do serve their purpose well, and it wouldn't do to make a fuss.

I should be based in the hospital from today onwards, but fortunately I'll have more time to myself over the weekend for my own research. It wouldn't do to get behind on my work, after all.

It appears that I'll be leaving the Mainland tonight- should nothing unexpected occur, I will reach New Mundus by tomorrow morning. It's certainly a most interesting thing to experience, and I do look forward to my time on the island.

Interestingly enough, it appears that I already know at least one person who is currently living there. Of course, I have not had the opportunity to speak with Anko-senpai for more than a year, and I'm sure it will be good to see her again.

It appears that I am now in possession of an online journal, apparently for the purposes of recording and keeping track of any events that might be of interest during the time I will be staying in New Mundus.

It's not a bad thing, of course, and certainly rather interesting, too. I don't believe I've done something like this before, and I do hope that this experiment, of sorts, bears results.

I'm quite pleased to have this opportunity to travel to the city. I've heard a lot about it, and it certainly seems like a very efficient and well kept place. I'll be leaving on Sunday, and I should, if all goes well, arrive on Monday morning.

Until then, I suppose I had better finish up some last pieces of research here. It wouldn't do to leave loose ends behind me, after all.
